Energy Workouts

Session #1

Good Morning Movement
A great way to get the energy moving and flowing through the body.

Stand noticing your posture, making sure your neck in alignment with your spine, with your shoulders, with your pelvis and all the way down to your toes.  Close your eyes and feel this alignment.

Take hands in prayer position.

Stretch up all the way.
Slowly fold down allowing your body to hang for a moment.
Breathe in and flatten back by placing hands on your shines.
Fold back over and hang.
Slowly stand one inch by one inch until standing.
Hands back at prayer position in center of your body.
Repeat as many times as needed.

When and Why:  This can help move energy physically and emotionally.  If you are feeling something move through - allow it rather than stopping it or fighting it.  You can use this physical movement to help.

Practice and see how this energic movement helps you.

Session #2

Brush and Fluff
A great way to move energy down your body and out. While then bringing energy up. You can feel the change.

Stand and begin brushing with your cupped hands from the top of your head, brushing every piece like you are brushing off dust off your body.
Move slowly all the way down to your feet - you can also do this while sitting.

Once you feel complete that the energy has been shifted - trust me you will feel it, then start from the bottom and fluff. Meaning bringing the energy back in like a reverse brush. Go from the feet to the head this time.

Once complete take a few moments to feel into this and see how you feel from when you started to this point.
Repeat if needed.

When and Why: This can be used when you are feeling down, over excited or stressed. It also can be used if you are around someone that you feel has given you their energy and it doesn't feel great.

Remember it is all about practicing and you will begin to know when something like this is needed. Your body and mind will ask for it by name:)
